Ingredients
- 4 slices bacon
- 1 onion, minced
- 2 jalapeno peppers, stemmed, gutted, minced
- 1 tsp red pepper flakes
- 28 oz ketchup
- ¼ cup Dijon mustard
- ¼ cup brown sugar
- 3 tbsp honey
- ¼ cup red wine vinegar
- 2 tbsp apple cider vinegar
- 2 tsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp cayenne pepper
- 1 medium lemon, juiced
Instructions
- Heat bacon in a medium sauce pan over medium high heat.
- Cook until ⅓ of fat is rendered, then add onions, render until clear.
- Add remaining ingredients.
- Simmer for up to 1 hour.
