
Memphis BBQ Sauce
Ingredients
- 4 slices Bacon
- 1 Onion minced
- 2 Jalapeno Peppers stemmed, seeded, minced
- 1 tsp Red Pepper Flakes
- 28 oz Ketchup
- 1/4 cup Dijon Mustard
- 1/4 cup Brown Sugar
- 3 tbsp Honey
- 1/4 cup Red Wine Vinegar
- 2 tbsp Apple Cider Vinegar
- 2 tsp Worshcestershire Sauce
- 1 tsp each of Salt, Black Pepper, Cayenne pepper
- 1 Juice of 1 medium lemon
Instructions
- Heat Bacon in a medium sauce pan over medium high heat
- Cook until 1/3 of fat is rendered, then add onions, render until clear
- Add remaining ingredients
- simmer for up to 1 hour.
